Unexpectedly Steve Jobs today attended Apple’s new iPad 2 presentation, showing latest pad new design that is 33 percent thinner and up to 15% lighter than the original iPad, while maintaining the same bright 9.7″ LED-backlit LCD screen.
The new iPad 2 is built around Apple’s new dual-core A5 processor for faster performance and graphics, sporting now two cameras, a front-facing VGA camera (usable with FaceTime) and Photo Booth, and a rear cam capable of 720p capturing HD video.
The iPad 2 will deliver up to 10 hours of battery life according to Apple, and will be available in black or white.
Running on iOS 4.3, the latest version of the iPad will feature Safari browser, iTunes and AirPlay, including two new apps: iMovie and GarageBand.
Pricing & Availability
Available from March 11, iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will cost roughly 500 US$ for the 16GB model, 600 US$ for the 32GB model and 700 US$ for the 64GB model.
