Intel Unveils Dual-Core Atom Processor for Netbooks

Intel unveils the N570 Dual-Core Intel Atom processor, aiming to fulfill netbook users Internet access with a more speedy experience while maintaining the same compact form factor and prolongued battery life as single-core models.
With a clock set  at 1.66 GHz, the new processors will support 4 threads, having 1 MB of L2 cache, 8.5W TDP and DDR3 667.
At CeBIT systems based on the new processor, from ASUS, Lenovo and Samsung are on show, and will start shipments in March.
