December 24, 2010 by | Comments

Exciting downloads, great discounts, exclusive content and incredible games – these are just a handful of the amazing rewards you can get every month if you become a PlayStation Plus member. By enhancing your existing free PlayStation Network account, a PlayStation Plus subscription gives you access to premium gaming features and special offers via PlayStation Store. And in the spirit of giving, December 2010 is full of tantalising treats for lucky members during the festive season… and beyond.

As a PlayStation Plus member, you can enjoy the following until 5 January 2011:

  • Exclusive access to the massive DC Universe Online beta trial.
  • The entire Neo-Geo games catalogue with a 20% discount for two weeks, and classic fighting game, Samurai Showdown, at no extra cost.
  • Zombie blaster Dead Nation with a 20% discount.
  • Monster smash ‘em up, Eat Them! with a 20% discount.
  • Sackboy’s Prehistoric Moves and the LittleBigPlanet Turbo! Premium Level Kit for PSP at no extra cost.
  • Brand new minis title, A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks, at no extra cost.
  • Battlefield 1943 with a 40% discount until 19 January 2011.

That’s not all – PlayStation Plus members can also download Assassin’s Creed and PROTOTYPE on PlayStation 3 using the Full Game Trial option, which lets you play full games on a trial basis at no extra cost for a limited period of time. Your progress will be saved and all the trophies you earn will remain unlocked if you decide to purchase the game after the trial period.

Want more? How about minis titles Bubble Trubble and Dracula – Undead Awakening, PS one game Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus, PSN puzzler Cuboid, exclusive Dead Nation avatars and a selection of dynamic themes all to download at no extra cost? All this fantastic content and more each month can be yours as a PlayStation Plus member.

2011 promises to keep the good times rolling with a great range of new minis titles to download every month. You don’t even need to lift a finger to get the latest updates if you’re a PlayStation Plus member thanks to the Automatic Download feature, which grabs system software updates, game updates and selected demos, and automatically downloads them to your PlayStation 3 system.

Even when your subscription ends you can still keep any exclusively discounted content you have bought, and any premium avatars, dynamic themes and game add-ons you have downloaded. However, at the end of your subscription period you will no longer have access to any full games, minis or premium game elements you have downloaded or to the other features available to subscribers.
